For passenger cars, including SUVs and van-type vehicles with a maximum authorized mass of up to 3.5 tonnes. You can check the maximum authorized mass in the vehicle registration certificate.
Toll charging
Vehicles over 3.5 tonnes
For vehicles over 3.5 t, the charge is based on the distance travelled, through the methods available in the official Bulgarian system.
An OBU (On-Board Unit) device installed in the vehicle is required- The fee is calculated automatically based on the distance travelled on motorways
Important information
When does the vignette validity start?
- The vignette becomes active 3-5 minutes after confirmation is received
- You can select a future start date (up to 30 days in advance)
- The weekend vignette is valid from Friday at 12:00 until Sunday at 23:59.
- There is no grace period — make sure the vignette is active before entering toll roads
