Who needs to buy the e-vignette?

The E-Vignette is mandatory for all vehicles registered in another country travelling on national roads in the Republic of Moldova, regardless of the country of origin (Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Poland, Germany, etc.).
Vehicles registered in the Republic of Moldova do not pay the E-Vignette; the road tax applies to them.

When does it start and end?

Validity starts immediately after the payment is confirmed through the MPay system.
The period is calculated in consecutive calendar days from the activation date.
Proof of payment is instantly available in the omnis app and can be shown to the authorities on request.
It cannot be cancelled or refunded after purchase – choose the period carefully.

Obligation and fines

Driving without a valid vignette may result in administrative fines under Moldovan law.
Authorities can electronically verify the vignette using the vehicle's registration number.
